What separates language from animal communication: an evolutionary perspective

This paper is an attempt to discover a single cognitive missing link that underlies all of the extant significant distinctions between language and animal communication noted and observed by scholars from various disciplines.

Since I circulated the paper  a couple of months ahead of my talk, I will not repeat the contents during my presentation. I look forward to a lively exchange with all of my colleagues during the seminar.
