L'IMéRA a le plaisir de vous inviter à une rencontre avec Kathelin Gray, President, Ecotechnics Maritime; Director, Institute of Ecotechnics; producer, director, curator and philosopher.
Kathelin Gray will talk about the history of Institute of Ecotechnics and the interaction of artists, scientists and adventurers in exploring new ideas and creating projects. She will also discuss the Research Vessel Heraclitus, now in the Vieux Port of Marseille, and its 3 year expedition studying the changing port cultures of the Mediterranean, Lives and Legends of the Mediterranean Sea.

Kathelin Gray co-founded numerous projects which integrate ecology, science and culture, such as the Institute of Ecotechnics; Research Vessel Heraclitus; Biosphere 2 closed system project in Arizona; Las Casas de la Selva, a reforestation project in Puerto Rico; October Gallery, a pioneering multicultural gallery and art centre in London; Synergia Ranch Centre for Innovation, Santa Fe, New Mexico; Vajra Hotel and theatre, Kathmandu; and many more. She works with interdisciplinary groups to catalyse new ideas and projects. She has also been the artistic director of Theatre of All Possibilities, which toured worldwide for 18 years, and has co-founded a new performance company, THEATRRR (Theatre for the Reconstruction of Reality). She is currently collaborating with physicists Fotini Markoupolou and Carlo Rovelli, developing a performance installation on the nature of time.
